The Head of Client Reporting and Financial Systems is a senior principal-level position
responsible for overseeing, standardizing, and enhancing the Client reporting process
and financial systems within The Company.
This role will be responsible for designing, streamlining and operationalizing scalable systems and processes while ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of reporting across The Company's service lines service global private equity clients. The role will be instrumental in executing on Gen II’s shared services framework by enabling functionalization of core processes.
This individual will lead the Reporting Systems and Process Standards Committee,
collaborating closely with US client service leaders, global shared services, client
service teams, and IT. The Head of Client Reporting and Financial Systems will focus
on aligning reporting practices, technology implementations, and operational efficiencies
to support both local and global needs within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Stakeholder Engagement and Shared Services Alignment
- Act as a primary liaison between internal stakeholders, including client service teams, global shared services, and IT, to ensure smooth implementation of reporting standards and systems.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and IT teams to optimize financial reporting processes and ensure alignment with shared services models, preparing the organization for global scale.
Technology and Process Optimization
- Oversee the implementation and integration of financial technology solutions, such as ERP systems, reporting tools, automation tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion).
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies and processes that improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and operational scalability, supporting the organization’s global needs.
Strategic Initiatives, Program Management, and Compliance
- Lead initiatives to harmonize reporting practices, implementing timelines, project plans, and milestone tracking to ensure timely execution of projects.
- Drive the development and execution of global shared services frameworks within the accounting and fund administration functions, optimizing resources and preparing the organization for long-term growth.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and compliance standards, ensuring that all internal reporting adheres to relevant guidelines and adjusting internal standards and processes as necessary.
Leadership of Reporting Systems and Process Standards Committee
- Chair the cross-functional Committee to set reporting standards and drive consistent processes across divisions and departments.
- Facilitate Committee meetings, aligning internal reporting practices with the company’s strategic objectives and ensuring a cohesive approach to reporting across client service teams, global shared services, and IT.
Key Qualifications
Experience: 15+ years in finance, fund administration, or accounting, with
significant experience in internal reporting, financial systems, and shared
services, preferably within a private equity, asset management, or financial
services environment.
Operational and Functional Experience: Proven background in establishing
and functionalizing accounting departments for global scale, with demonstrated
success in building or managing shared services frameworks.
Technical Skills: Expertise in financial and ERP technology platforms (e.g.,
Sage Intacct, Investran, Allvue), as well as significant exposure managing
system integrations with ancillary automation and workflow tools as well as
advanced Excel. Experience maintaining and/or managing a global chart of
accounts a plus.
Program and Project Management: Strong project management skills, with
experience in creating and executing timelines, managing project milestones,
and delivering reporting initiatives on schedule.
Accounting and Financial Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of
accounting operations, fund structures, and financial systems, including Limited
Partnership agreements, NAV reviews, and waterfall models. Familiarity with
regulatory standards and compliance (e.g., GAAP, ASC).
Leadership and Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to
collaborate effectively with internal teams, including accounting, IT, and
operations, with a focus on strategic alignment and organizational cohesion.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills including executive level
presentations as well as an ability to positively influence across multiple
stakeholders.
