VP or Head of Revenue Operations & Resource Management

Level: Senior Principal or VP
Experience Required: 10+ years in revenue operations, workforce planning, financial management, or related fields, with a specialization in cross-functional leadership, data-driven resource management, and scaling workforce operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Pipeline Transparency & Management
- Develop and manage a transparent, data-driven sales pipeline process that delivers visibility into both new and existing client growth opportunities.
- Regularly review and report on pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline progression to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with company revenue targets.
- Drive accountability for sales and client engagement goals, partnering with Business Development and Commercial teams to advance leads through the sales funnel.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead a weekly cross-functional meeting to align Business Development, Commercial, Corporate Development, Finance, and Client Service on strategic objectives, pipeline updates, and operational challenges.
- Serve as a bridge between departments, facilitating collaboration to resolve challenges, optimize resource allocation, and drive high-quality client outcomes.
3. Workforce Strategy & Resource Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive workforce strategy that aligns employee capacity, utilization, and skill sets with client project demands and revenue goals.
- Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation to ensure projects are adequately staffed, and team members are optimally deployed to maximize productivity.
- Manage budget-to-actuals on client engagements, tracking and aligning resources with budget goals and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.
4. Operational Scalability & Process Optimization
- Drive the functionalization and standardization of operational processes, enabling scalable, repeatable tasks that support workforce growth and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the workforce data analyst to gather insights and create metrics-based reports that inform decision-making on resource management, capacity planning, and sales operations.
- Oversee system administration and ensure that revenue operations and workforce management tools effectively support organizational needs.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and develop a team of 3-4 professionals, including a workforce data analyst, system administrator, and potentially a junior role focused on administrative or operational support.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the team, empowering each member to drive impact and growth within their functional areas.
- Mentor team members to develop skill sets aligned with organizational needs, creating a dynamic, high-performing revenue operations and resource management function.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in revenue operations, resource management, or workforce strategy, ideally within a service-oriented, high-growth environment.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-departmental initiatives, aligning stakeholders from diverse functions to achieve strategic objectives.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills in pipeline management, forecasting, and capacity planning with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Workforce Planning: Demonstrated success in developing and executing workforce planning strategies that balance capacity and utilization with client demands.
- Technology & Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with revenue operations and workforce planning tools, with a strong foundation in ERP, CRM, and reporting platforms.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels and facilitate cross-functional alignment.
